Spider microCT

Microcomputed tomography (microCT) has recently become popular among biologists for the study of insect taxonomy and internal anatomy. I use microCT to study and compare the morphology of spider silk glands. The gland geometries can also be exported for use in the physical modeling of silk fluid flow and silk material assembly.
